“A good snapshot keeps a moment from running away.” – Eudora Welty
I still remember the day in which my life changed and I took the first step towards becoming a photographer. I was sitting in my living room, the day was warm and my newborn baby was sleeping next to me. I opened my computer to view the photos from his birth for the first time. My dear friend had been present to photograph his birth. As I started browsing through those images, I could relive every second of the birth and by the end of the gallery, I had tears of joy traveling down my cheeks. I was so great full for these images. My friend had given me one of the most precious gifts I have ever received. Katie Thrums describes this gift perfectly, she says “Photographs are a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone”, and those photographs of his birth were without a doubt, my return ticket to such special moment.
I genuinely love children. I usually have an instant connection with little ones and it humbles me when they let me into their world. I don’t take this privilege lightly. I am passionate about what I do and it conveyed in my work. My images are infused with happiness and connections, which make each and every photograph so special. I care more about capturing the connection between a little girl and her daddy or the giggles from a tickle fight between a mommy and her son, than a “perfect” smile with a “perfect” pose. I strive to give my clients a safe heaven, where they can be themselves and let their emotions be so I can capture the realness of the moment. I would love the opportunity to capture these special moments for you!
